Ma Dongwook (마동욱) is a Korean S-Rank Hunter and the Guild Master of the Fame Guild.
Appearance
Ma is a burly middle-aged man with bushy black hair, thick eyebrows, and sloppy facial hair. In his first appearance, he wore a dobok, the standard uniform for a judoka. During the Jeju Island Raid, he wore light gold and gray armor and wielded a simple spear along with a massive shield with a ram's skull imprinted on it.
Personality
Ma is a friendly and outgoing individual who is almost always seen smiling around people and is very compassionate towards his fellow Korean S-Rank Hunters. He also does not like to compete with others, as demonstrated when he preferred not to argue with Park Jongsoo over a turf dispute.
In the new timeline, Ma has became more ambitious and competitive, seeking out Su-Ho and challenging him to a sparring match to assess his strength. He is also caring, seeking to certify whether Suho has the strength to enter North Korea's Dungeon. Ma is also a devoted judoka, associating power with his own desire.
Abilities
As a S-Rank Hunter, Ma is one of the top hunters in Korea. However, despite his status, Ma is actually mediocre in strength for a S-Rank, as noted by Hanekawa, and quite possibly one of the weakest S-Ranks in the world.
In the revised timeline, he is regarded as the strongest Tanker=type Hunter in all of South Korea.
Enhanced Strength: Ma possesses great physical strength, as displayed by how he was able to fight evenly with Baek during their sparring match and knock him off-balance at one point, and also completely block the Ant Queen from attacking Min Byung-Gyu with just brute force alone. In the revised timeline, Ma was able to apply a tremendous amount of grip force on Suho's hand and described to be akin to a mountain [1]
Enhanced Durability: Ma possesses great physical durability, as displayed by how he was able to get back up after the Ant King tore off his arms and threw him around like a rag doll. He was able to endure Suho's grip strength
Gigantification: Ma is able to increase his physical size about twofold.
